Grief
Is a black box
‘And what if I stay?’ ‘You will find yourself destroyed by grief. All you know will be around you, and at the same time far from you. Better to find a new place now.’
—from Orange Are not the Only Fruit, Jeanette Winterson
Grief is the hefty Black box of memories that Refuses loss.

I felt this in my bones Mahdi. This sits right in the suspended moment where leaving and staying are both losses. The spareness makes grief feel like an environment you’re breathing in.
A heavy burden to carry.
